Biologist (PhD Student) | Biologe (m/w/d)
Institute of Molecular Biology and Tumour Research (IMT)
Job Summary
This PhD position offers a unique opportunity for a motivated biologist to investigate the role of chromatin regulators in human skin biology, specifically focusing on the SMARCAD1 enzyme and its implications in 'SMARCAD syndrome'. The successful candidate will join Dr. Jacqueline Mermoud's team at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Tumorbiology (IMT) of Philipps-University in Marburg, Germany. Day-to-day tasks will involve employing advanced next-generation sequencing methods, conducting mechanistic and functional analysis of chromatin-associated proteins, and utilizing 3-D organotypic cultures and iPS cells. This role is ideal for someone with a background in skin research and a keen interest in epigenetics, offering a dynamic research environment and opportunities for scientific exchange within national and international networks.
