Job Summary

This doctoral position at the Institute for Molecular Biology and Tumor Research in Marburg focuses on investigating the molecular mechanisms of chromatin proteins and their role in mammalian genome regulation, particularly concerning DNA methylation inheritance. The successful candidate will contribute to a DFG-funded research project, conducting experimental work including planning, execution, and analysis. The role involves applying standard molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry techniques, alongside advanced genomic methods such as RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, and ChIP-seq, mass spectrometry, and microscopy. Research will primarily be conducted in mammalian cells, including embryonic stem cells and differentiated cells, with a focus on establishing 3D cultures of human skin cells.
