Job Summary

Embark on a cutting-edge PhD journey at Philipps-University in Marburg, Germany, focusing on fundamental research into chromatin-based mechanisms governing gene repression and epigenetic inheritance in mammals. This role involves experimental planning, execution, and analysis within a DFG-funded project, specifically investigating DNA methylation inheritance. You will utilize advanced molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, and genomic techniques (e.g., RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq), mass spectrometry, microscopy, and bioinformatics. Working with mammalian cells, including embryonic stem cells and differentiated cells, you'll contribute to understanding epigenetic stability and its role in cellular differentiation. The position offers an optimal scientific environment, modern facilities, and opportunities for collaboration and scientific exchange within a leading epigenetic research center.
