Job Summary

This role involves significant research and development within the "RewitAI PAN-HAWBW" project, focusing on the re-integration of highly weathered plastic waste into the circular economy. Day-to-day tasks include material analysis, substance separation, extraction of pollutants, chemical functionalization of recycled plastics, and testing the efficiency of these functionalizations. The ideal candidate will also manage and maintain laboratory equipment, perform statistical data analysis, conduct literature and patent research, and contribute to project management, including reporting and communication with partners. This position offers an opportunity to work in a motivated team at a research-intensive university, contributing to sustainable solutions in a critical environmental area.

Completed scientific university degree (Diplom or Master) in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, or Materials Science

Experience

  • Professional experience in instrumental analytics (GS/MS, HPLC/MS, IR Spectroscopy)
  • Knowledge in microplastics (advantageous)
  • Knowledge in wet chemical extraction methods (advantageous)
  • Knowledge in chemical functionalization methods for recycled plastics (advantageous)
  • Practical laboratory experience (advantageous)
