Job Summary

This PhD position focuses on developing innovative separation materials for efficient biomolecule purification within the biopharmaceutical industry's downstream processing. The role involves hands-on experimental lab work, material and surface characterization, and contributing to future-oriented material and process development projects. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal departments and external partners, mentor Bachelor and Master students, monitor patent landscapes, and act as a scientific ambassador by presenting and publishing research findings. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual passionate about material sciences and product development to make a significant impact within a leading life science company, offering a blend of on-site and remote work in Göttingen.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Material Sciences, (Polymer) Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a comparable natural or engineering science degree

Experience

  • Experience in structured, independent, and goal-oriented work

Additional

  • This is a fixed-term position for 3 years, available part-time. The role requires on-site presence at the Göttingen campus with the option for remote work on certain days after consultation.
