Job Summary

This role involves supporting and maintaining cutting-edge data acquisition (DAQ) and slow-control systems for nuclear physics experiments at the GSI Helmholtzzentrum and the new FAIR facility, one of the world's largest research projects. The specialist will be instrumental in setting up and implementing DAQ systems for the Super-FRS experiment collaboration, integrating detectors, and collaborating with the broader NUSTAR-DAQ group. Day-to-day tasks include operating, maintaining, and upgrading existing FRS DAQ systems, providing support to various experiment groups, and representing the Super-FRS collaboration on DAQ matters.
