Job Summary

This role is for a Research Associate focusing on Machine Integration & Production Connectivity within the Digitalization of Battery Cell Manufacturing department at Fraunhofer FFB. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and researching the digital infrastructure for battery cell production, from sensor and plant connectivity to production control via Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Day-to-day tasks involve connecting data sources like production facilities and sensors with higher-level systems such as IIoT platforms, developing innovative infrastructures for digitalized production, and creating new scientific methods for scaling digitalized processes. The position also includes collaborating on digital twins for battery cell manufacturing and acquiring/managing national and international industrial and research projects.
