Job Summary

This role, based at the Fraunhofer ISIT in Itzehoe, focuses on core production processes within the institute's advanced cleanroom facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the hands-on processing of wafer materials, including silicon, glass, and GaN substrates, essential for manufacturing micro-mechanical and power electronic components. Daily tasks involve performing precise wafer processing steps, meticulously documenting all activities using the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and ensuring process quality through independent inspections using microscopes and dedicated measurement equipment. Key qualifications include a completed technical education, ideally as a Microtechnologist, coupled with expertise in silicon-based microsystems technology or microelectronics. Previous experience working in a cleanroom environment is highly advantageous.
