This role involves the crucial tasks of packaging, distributing, and integrating software within a Windows 11 environment, supporting approximately 18,000 client systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing tools like MECM, App-V, VMware DEM, and Group Policies to ensure application functionality, security, and user customization. Key responsibilities include creating distributable software packages, ensuring installability on various client types, performing compatibility testing, and managing technical release processes. The position also entails preparing installations, documenting procedures, and providing last-level support for created software packages. - Expert-level knowledge in software deployment procedures (Microsoft App-V and MECM/SCCM)
- Expert-level knowledge in creating and packaging MSI and MSIX files
- Expert-level knowledge in application virtualization with Microsoft App-V
- Expert-level knowledge in reviewing packaging orders for completeness, feasibility, and adherence to QS standards
- Expert-level knowledge in package conflict management with Windows 11, Windows Installer, and user profiles including security settings
- Expert-level knowledge of different workstation configurations (FAT Client, mobile client, standalone client, virtual workstation)
- Advanced knowledge in user profile management with VMware (Omnissa) UEM
- Advanced knowledge in PowerShell and VBScript
- Advanced knowledge with Active Directory and Policies
- Comprehensive practical experience in projects involving application packaging with Microsoft PowerShell and App-V Sequencer
