Job Summary

This role seeks a skilled Software Packaging Engineer to manage the integration and distribution of applications across a large Windows 11 client environment of approximately 18,000 workstations. Key responsibilities include creating robust, distributed software packages (MSI, MSIX) using tools like Microsoft MECM and App-V, ensuring compatibility on both fat and virtual clients (VMware, Nutanix). You will be responsible for technical release management, conducting acceptance testing, and providing last-level support for deployed applications. A significant part of the role involves scripting complex installation logic using PowerShell and VBScript, managing configurations via VMware DEM and Group Policies, and producing detailed technical documentation. Candidates must possess deep expertise in software deployment procedures, client operating systems, and user profile management. Fluency in German (C1) and professional English (B1) are mandatory qualifications for this challenging role, which offers hybrid work flexibility and extensive scope for independent project design.
