Job Summary

This role involves comparing the environmental impacts of deep-seabed mining with conventional land-based mining, utilizing a newly developed metric. The successful candidate will analyze extensive data from polymetallic nodule ecosystems, including new expedition data, and apply advanced numerical and statistical models to assess impacts on biogeochemical processes and ecosystem health. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to international regulations for seabed mineral exploitation within the European MiningImpact project.
