Job Summary

This role at the Federal Railway Authority (EBA) involves critical work in the railway sector, specifically focusing on train control, train protection, and signaling systems. Required Skills

Education

University Diploma or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Communication Technology, Mechatronics, or Transportation with a specialization in Railway Systems, or comparable qualification. Alternatively, qualification for the higher technical service in the federal administration.

Experience

  • At least three years of professional experience in the railway sector, specifically in train control, train protection, and signaling, in accordance with ERA Assessment Scheme requirements
  • Professional experience in planning, construction, maintenance, and operation of railway systems and components (desirable)

Additional

  • Willingness to travel for EU-wide acquisition of contracts. Ability to work at Bonn, Munich, or Berlin. Track suitability (analogous to G25 examination) is required, to be tested by the employer. Applicants must be eligible for civil service (Beamte) or aspire to a tariff-based employment relationship. The German language must be mastered at a negotiation level.
