Job Summary

As a Bridge Inspection Expert, you will be responsible for conducting main and special structural inspections, as well as simple inspections according to DIN 1076, within the branch's operational area. This involves preparing, planning, and organizing on-site structural inspections, developing personnel and equipment deployment concepts, and coordinating specialized laboratories and offices for specific investigations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of engineering structures by developing and coordinating recommendations for structural preservation in collaboration with the structural inspection team. Additionally, you will provide engineering support for the tendering and awarding of inspection services and ensure the quality of completed work. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the safety and mobility of Germany's vital infrastructure, working with a team dedicated to maintaining thousands of bridges and tunnels.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Dipl.-Ing. (FH)/Bachelor) in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications

Experience

  • Professional experience in monitoring and inspection of engineering structures
  • Several years of professional experience in structural engineering, particularly in bridge construction, inspection, and preservation
  • Professional experience with planning and administrative law, and relevant technical standards in road and civil engineering
  • Professional experience with procurement and processing of engineering services for structural design and existing structure management
