Job Summary

Join the State Agency for Nature, Environment, and Climate North Rhine-Westphalia (LANUK) as an Electrical Engineering Technician, playing a crucial role in monitoring air quality across NRW. You will be part of a 14-person field team, independently managing the maintenance, fault analysis, and calibration of complex electrical and mechanical measurement instruments at over 60 sites. This includes working on weather sensors mounted on masts up to 20 meters high, with all necessary safety training provided. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to environmental and climate protection, ensuring high air quality through hands-on technical work in a dynamic outdoor setting, supported by a dedicated team.

Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics

Experience

  • Professional experience as a state-certified Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Technician
  • At least 3 years of experience with complex, automatic instruments

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Valid Class B driving license (formerly Class III) and willingness to drive official vehicles (typically small vans)
  • Physical fitness and health suitability for work at measurement stations, including in difficult terrain and climbing ladders, scaffolding, or masts up to 20 meters high
