Job Summary

This role involves working as a Laboratory Assistant in Environmental Microbiology for the State Agency for Nature, Environment, and Climate North Rhine-Westphalia (LANUK). The successful candidate will conduct routine and project-based investigations of environmental samples for microorganisms and their genes, utilizing cultural, molecular biological, and microscopic methods. A key part of the role is contributing to the operation of an S2 microbiological laboratory accredited according to DIN EN ISO 17025, including documentation and monitoring within the quality assurance system. Additionally, the position requires participating in sampling activities at bodies of water and wastewater treatment plants.
