Job Summary
This role is for an IT Infrastructure Technical Specialist in Duisburg, Germany, focused on ensuring the security and operational integrity of the North Rhine-Westphalia police's central IT infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include operating and maintaining critical systems, troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues, advising on system planning and design, and coordinating external service providers. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) in Communication Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a comparable field; OR successfully completed vocational training with further education as an Operative Professional or state-certified technician in relevant fields; OR completed vocational training in relevant fields.
Experience
- 3 years of relevant professional experience with a university degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) in Communication Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a comparable field
- 3 years of relevant professional experience with a successfully completed vocational training and further education as an Operative Professional or state-certified technician in the above-mentioned fields
- 6 years of relevant professional experience with a completed vocational training in Communication Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a comparable field
- Willingness to participate in on-call duty for 24/7 operations

- Readiness to undergo a security clearance (SÜ 2)
- Residence in Germany or an EU member state for at least five years
