Job Summary
This role involves leading, organizing, and planning the Infrastructure Training Group at the THW (German Federal Agency for Technical Relief) Training Center in Brandenburg an der Havel. The successful candidate will oversee theoretical and practical training in critical infrastructure areas such as mobile power generation, temporary electrical and water supply, and wastewater disposal. Key responsibilities include managing teaching staff and guest lecturers, coordinating resources for courses, and ensuring the continuous development of quality management in teaching. The position requires a proactive individual with strong leadership skills, a background in electrical engineering, and experience in adult education, contributing to the THW's vital mission in disaster relief.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferably Energy Technology) or a comparable field from a university or university of applied sciences. For foreign degrees, a certificate evaluation from the ZAB (Central Office for Foreign Education) is required.
Experience
- Several years of relevant professional experience after completing a Bachelor's degree
- Experience in personnel management, ideally in building heterogeneous teams
- Knowledge in civil and disaster protection
- Experience in adult education
- Pedagogical expertise
Languages
Additional
- Must possess a Class B/BE driving license (Class C/CE is desirable). Willingness to work outside regular hours if necessary (e.g., in case of emergency deployment), undertake well-planned business trips, drive official vehicles, participate in the command and coordination staff, and wear service/operational clothing for specific occasions. Must be willing to obtain an employment qualification for deployment if not already qualified.
