Job Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the SAX.CERT team, the security incident response team for the Free State of Saxony. The specialist will be crucial in managing and evolving the SAX.CERT's modern situation center, monitoring and reporting cyberattacks on the state's administrative network, and developing IT environments for forensics and virus analysis. Key responsibilities also include leading the SAX.CERT Helpdesk, evaluating security incidents, and advising public authorities on closing security gaps. This position involves collaboration with other CERTs at both state and federal levels, providing a diverse and impactful role in public sector cybersecurity.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or equivalent (e.g., Diplom) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, Administrative Informatics, or a comparable field. Alternatively, a Master's degree in another field with relevant IT knowledge and experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT security or CERT operations (advantageous)
  • Experience in software development or system administration (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of current IT infrastructure, hardware, and software (advantageous)
  • Knowledge in the field of cybersecurity (advantageous)
