Job Summary
This PhD position at TU Darmstadt, part of the EU MSCA-COFUND program trainLSE, offers an exciting opportunity for international students to delve into in-cell structural biology. The successful candidate will investigate FKBP-Hsp90-steroid hormone receptor complexes using large-scale, site-specific, in-cell photo-crosslinking, aiming to uncover key states and interaction partners of FKBP51, a crucial target for depression, obesity-induced diabetes, and pain. The role involves training in cutting-edge molecular biology techniques, dedicated mentoring within an interdisciplinary and international group, and exposure to industry through various consortia. This is an ideal role for highly motivated individuals with a strong background in biochemistry, molecular & chemical biology, and protein biochemistry, eager to contribute to drug discovery.
