Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the safe, stable, and high-performance operation of electrical supply networks. The engineer will be responsible for independently reviewing and approving applications for renewable energy (EEG) and combined heat and power (KWKG) plants, conducting and evaluating grid calculations, and actively optimizing tools for grid intervention to maintain quality parameters and stability. Key responsibilities also include leading team members, handling disruption reports and complaints, communicating with stakeholders, and creating operational instructions. The position requires participation in on-call duty and acting as the plant manager according to DIN VDE 0105 and technical specialist according to TSM Strom. This position offers a chance to actively shape the energy transition within a regional network operator committed to Würzburg.

Education

Academic degree, ideally in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a specialization in Electrical Power Engineering or comparable

Experience

  • Professional experience in the operation of public or industrial energy supply networks
  • Additional qualification for switching authorization in high and medium voltage networks
  • Desirable: Knowledge in grid compatibility testing of EEG and KWK plants
  • Desirable: Knowledge in cable testing, diagnosis, and fault location
