Job Summary

This two-year fixed-term, part-time position (16 hours/week) as a Biological Laboratory Technician is crucial for ensuring optimal drinking water quality in the Würzburg region. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and execution of complex microbiological and chemical-physical analyses on various water types (raw, drinking, swimming, and pool water), strictly adhering to legal and laboratory accreditation guidelines. Daily tasks involve organizing testing procedures, evaluating results, interpreting findings against relevant norms, and meticulously documenting data within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). You will also actively participate in optimizing existing methods, maintaining and calibrating lab equipment, and supporting the overall quality management system. Key qualifications include a completed vocational degree (e.g., Biological or Chemical Laboratory Technician/Assistant), proven experience in microbiological and chemical testing, familiarity with water sampling protocols, and the ability to work exclusively in the afternoons.

Vocational training as Biological Laboratory Technician, Biological-Technical Assistant, Chemical Laboratory Technician, or Chemical-Technical Assistant (or equivalent)

  • Experience conducting investigations following Drinking Water Ordinances
