Job Summary

As a Climate Protection Manager, you will be instrumental in driving the implementation and strategic development of Saarbrücken's integrated climate protection concept. Your daily tasks will involve managing projects, applying for and administering funding, and continuously evolving the city's climate strategy for the next 3-5 years. You will establish climate protection management within the administrative structure, develop routine data collection and reporting for greenhouse gas emission reductions, and advise various city departments. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, a proactive approach to complex problem-solving, and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders. You will also lead the Climate Protection Working Group, organize public information events, and support the annual Environmental and Climate Protection Award, making this an impactful position for environmental enthusiasts.
