Job Summary

This role involves ensuring compliance with all legal requirements related to waste management and hazardous goods, and developing center-wide, practical regulations. As a Waste Officer, you will implement requirements from the Circular Economy Act and other waste legislation, creating a structured framework for proper and legally compliant waste handling and continuously improving waste-related processes. As a Hazardous Goods Officer, you will ensure the proper implementation of hazardous goods regulations, developing a unified framework for the safe transport and handling of hazardous materials within the center. Additionally, you will address chemical law issues, particularly concerning chemical and hazardous substances regulations, and contribute expertise to solutions in occupational safety, environmental protection, and material flow management, collaborating closely with other departments. This position offers an opportunity to work in an international environment at a leading German university with national large-scale research.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diplom (Uni) / Master) in Chemistry, ideally with a doctorate; Proof of expertise as an operational waste officer; Training certificate as a hazardous goods officer for road and sea transport; Sufficient hazardous goods qualifications for air transport.
