Job Summary

This role involves comprehensive project administration for externally funded projects within the Department of Internal Medicine II at Saarland University. Day-to-day tasks include managing project finances from initial calculation to final billing, supporting project leads with periodic reporting, and coordinating with European partners. The Project Administration Assistant will also handle administrative support for the study center, including ensuring complete reporting for study documentation, managing third-party funds, and assisting with procurement and personnel planning. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, experience in the medical field, and a structured, independent work approach who thrives in a dynamic academic environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training, e.g., Office Management Assistant, Healthcare Management Assistant, Medical Documentation Assistant, Medical Documentalist, or equivalent. GCP (Good Clinical Practice) qualification (can be obtained on-site).

Experience

  • Professional experience in project administration, particularly with externally funded projects
  • Experience with financial management and reporting
  • Experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a medical or academic setting
