Job Summary

This role is a pivotal opportunity for an IT Specialist to contribute to the digital transformation of Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München by implementing and optimizing their new Campus Management System (CAMPUSonline). Day-to-day, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing examination and study regulations within the system, coordinating testing, and identifying improvement potentials for processes. You'll also engage in cross-departmental projects, including data migration and interface development, while building and maintaining documentation and conducting user training. This position is ideal for someone passionate about digital processes in higher education, enjoys working at the intersection of IT and user needs, and wants to shape the future of university administration.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in an IT-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Management) or another subject with a strong technical focus, or comparable qualifications.

Experience

  • Professional experience in an IT-related field or comparable qualifications through professional experience or further training in an IT environment
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Initial knowledge in XML, XSLT, Excel, or VBA is ideal
  • Initial professional and project experience in a comparable position is ideal
  • Initial experience in a university context or with a campus management system (e.g., HISPOS or CAMPUSonline) is ideal
