Job Summary

The Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) Munich is seeking a highly motivated Doctoral Researcher to join the Collaborative Research Center (SFB/TRR 425 DEFINE). This fully funded, part-time position (65% TV-L E13) involves conducting scientific work for subproject C01, focusing on the role and mechanisms of desmoglein-2 (Dsg2) dysfunction in the intestinal epithelium. The researcher will utilize inducible mouse models and patient-identified mutations to investigate digestive tract inflammation resulting from primary desmosomal dysfunction. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating project-related lab work, analyzing collected data, and presenting findings within the consortium and at scientific conferences. Key requirements include a Master's degree in a relevant science field (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry), practical experience with laboratory and analytical methods (cell culture, biochemical methods, image analysis), and strong analytical thinking. The role offers close collaboration within a multidisciplinary, international consortium, access to state-of-the-art research infrastructure, and structured doctoral training.
