Job Summary

This role involves contributing to cutting-edge cancer research by developing cellular immunotherapies, specifically focusing on T-cell modification and expansion for patient application. Day-to-day tasks include isolating and culturing primary T-cells, modifying them using electroporation or viral transduction, and analyzing them via flow cytometry. A key aspect is performing quality controls, establishing and optimizing cell production processes, and meticulously documenting all procedures. The ideal candidate will have a background as a Technical Assistant or Biology Laboratory Technician, with practical experience in cell culture and a strong understanding of working within a regulated environment like GMP. This position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility, contribute to meaningful cancer research, and potentially transition to a spin-off company.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed training as a Technical Assistant (MTA, BTA) or Biology Laboratory Technician

Experience

  • Practical experience in cell culture
  • Knowledge of flow cytometry is advantageous
  • Initial experience in a regulated laboratory environment is desirable
  • Willingness to work with computer-controlled, automated devices
