Job Summary

Join the Center for Interdisciplinary Digital Sciences (CIDS) at TU Dresden as a Project Staff member, focusing on high-performance computing (HPC) resource allocation. In this role, you will coordinate and process HPC resource applications, design and manage the evaluation process for HPC proposals, and provide expert advice to researchers. You will also contribute to the conceptual and technical development of reporting and accounting systems for HPC usage and coordinate training programs for users. This position offers an opportunity to work in an internationally-oriented team, continuously improve HPC processes, and represent the NHR center at conferences. The role is initially until December 31, 2030, with potential for extension, and supports work-life balance through flexible hours and mobile working options.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science (e.g., Bachelor) or a similar IT-related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience.

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience working with Linux and databases
  • Experience in high-performance computing and operating HPC systems (desired)

Additional

  • Initial contract until December 31, 2030, with potential for extension. Part-time employment (87.5% of full-time) is possible. Must be eligible to work in Germany.
