Job Summary

This Research Associate position at TU Dresden, within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, focuses on cutting-edge research in resource-efficient and recyclable cells and stacks for fuel cells (FC) and electrolyzers (EL). The core objective of the Hy²Cycle joint project is to develop high-pressure alkaline EL/FC concepts for efficiency enhancement and a reversible cell concept for PEM-EL/FC, emphasizing recycling-compatible approaches from design to operation. Day-to-day tasks involve scientific research and development, including the physical, chemical, and electrochemical design of a prototype electrolyzer, assisting in its manufacturing, designing a test stand, and conducting experiments. The role requires a strong scientific university degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Electrochemistry, and excellent German language skills (C2 level required for non-native speakers), offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of circular economy in energy technology.
