Job Summary

This role involves leading the independent planning of complex construction projects within railway control and safety technology, covering HOAI phases 1-7. Key responsibilities include designing conventional and electronic interlocking systems, signal systems, and control devices, as well as conventional and electronic level crossing technology. The successful candidate will manage the modification of complex signal planning documents, create service specifications, and prepare tender and award documents. This position requires strong coordination skills for interdisciplinary alignments, client interactions, and liaising with external engineering firms and approval authorities. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Fach-/Hochschulstudium) in Electrical Engineering or Communications Engineering, or comparable training with many years of relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical engineering or communications engineering
  • Experience in calculating planning services according to HOAI
  • In-depth knowledge of current DIN regulations and standards, railway regulations, and Federal Railway Authority (EBA) ordinances
  • Experience in leading and mentoring team members
