Job Summary

This critical role seeks a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the Project and Operations Competence Center for DB International Operations in Berlin. The COO will act as the central orchestrator, managing the full lifecycle of international rail projects, from initial business development and bid preparation through mobilization, trial operations, and transition into stable, long-term operations and maintenance. Day-to-day tasks involve developing robust delivery concepts, refining standardized operational frameworks, and governing the end-to-end ramp-up of new rail operating companies worldwide. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in international railway operations, strong project delivery expertise, and proven leadership acumen to steer complex initiatives, manage diverse stakeholders, and ensure technical excellence and commercial viability across all projects.
