Job Summary
The Technical University of Dresden is seeking a Research Associate, Doctoral Candidate, or Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Chair of Circuit Design and Network Theory. This role focuses on the research, design, analysis, optimization, implementation, and measurement of an adaptive modulator driver for highly efficient optical data transmission. The successful candidate will be involved in chip design, including simulation and layout of novel circuit concepts for rapid switching and continuous bandwidth tuning, aiming to reduce power consumption in future energy-efficient optical communication systems. This position offers a unique opportunity for scientific qualification within the ADAPT-IC project, contributing to cutting-edge research in high-frequency and mixed-signal integrated circuits for 5G/6G and sensor systems.
Required Skills
Education
Very good or good university degree (Diplom/Master) in Electrical Engineering, Communication Technology, or Information Technology. Doctoral degree is optional but beneficial.
Experience
- Professional experience in research, design, analysis, optimization, implementation, and measurement of adaptive modulator drivers
- Experience with circuit design, including simulation and layout of novel circuit concepts
- Experience with system simulation for power consumption analysis
- Experience in preparing scientific publications and presenting at conferences
