Job Summary

The Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz is seeking an internationally recognized Professor of Pharmaceutical / Medicinal Chemistry to join its Institute for Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences. The successful candidate will lead research in an active area of pharmaceutical/medicinal chemistry, preferably focusing on the synthesis and testing of small molecules and structure-activity relationship analysis. Experience in medicinal chemistry or RNA biochemistry is a plus. This role involves comprehensive teaching of pharmaceutical chemistry in German for the Pharmacy state examination program and in the Bachelor/Master Biomedical Chemistry program. The professor will actively contribute to curriculum development, secure competitive third-party funding, and engage in interdisciplinary collaborations within the university and with external research institutions.
