Job Summary
This role involves ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of log management and network diagnostic systems, particularly within a BSI-compliant environment. The specialist will be responsible for managing release and version updates for QRadar, configuring and maintaining logging connections (Syslog), and adapting existing log connections to central log management. Key responsibilities include operating Linux-based log relays (RHEL, Syslog-ng), managing WEC servers, and performing manual monitoring and troubleshooting for various logging and network functionalities. The position requires strong technical expertise in server operating systems, logging software, and network diagnostics, making it ideal for a professional looking to contribute to innovative, sustainable solutions in a dynamic engineering environment.
Required Skills
Education
IT-related degree or recognized IT apprenticeship, or relevant certifications (e.g., LPIC1)
Experience
- Professional experience or training in an IT-related field or a recognized IT apprenticeship, alternatively a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an IT environment
- Professional experience or further training in Service Management (ITIL V3 or V4)
- Training or experience in Linux and knowledge of current Linux server operating systems (RHEL 8/9) and SLES 15
- Training or experience with Windows Server operating systems (Server 2016 and newer)
- Professional experience in operating logging software such as WEC, QRadar, and Syslog systems
- Experience in the network area, including knowledge of network functionality tests using command-line commands
