Job Summary

The Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry is seeking a dedicated Hazardous Materials and Waste Management Specialist to join their team in Martinsried near Munich. In this role, you will be responsible for the organization, execution, and documentation of special waste disposal, including laboratory chemicals, solvents, and radioactive waste. Key duties involve preparing and overseeing hazardous goods transportation via road (ADR) and air (IATA), managing the central autoclave for biological waste, and maintaining precise digital records. You will also support the occupational safety department with lab inspections and emergency organization. This position requires a background in laboratory, environmental, or disposal logistics, practical experience with chemicals, and a proactive, organized approach. Completed vocational training related to laboratory, environment, technology, or disposal, or comparable qualification

Experience
