Job Summary

The Institute of Human Genetics at the University Medical Center Freiburg is seeking a dedicated Biological/Medical-Technical or Biotechnological Assistant for their Cytogenetics Diagnostics Laboratory. In this role, you will be responsible for independently performing routine cytogenetic tasks, including cultivating and processing various cell cultures (lymphocytes, amniotic fluid, tissue), preparing chromosome samples, and conducting fluorescence in situ hybridizations. A key part of your day will involve computer-assisted analysis of chromosome preparations and microscopic evaluation of FISH. You will also contribute to laboratory organization, quality management system development, and the establishment of new lab protocols. This position offers a responsible, varied, and interesting opportunity within a motivated team, providing a stable, full-time, permanent contract with no shift work.
