Job Summary
The City and State Library of Potsdam is seeking an IT and Business Process Coordinator to join their team. This role involves comprehensive IT system administration, ensuring the availability and functionality of hardware and software within the library's operations. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting IT issues, integrating new hardware, developing IT security policies, and managing the OCLC BIBLIOTHECAnext library management system. The coordinator will also provide first-level support, conduct training, and act as a liaison between internal departments and external service providers. This position is ideal for an IT professional with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, network administration, and a commitment to service and teamwork.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or university of applied sciences degree in Computer Science, Library Informatics, Business Informatics, or a comparable field
Experience
- Professional experience in IT system administration
- Professional experience in a public administration environment (ideal)
- Experience in implementing IT projects
- Experience in administering IT systems and components
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to work late shifts and potentially on-call duty.
