Job Summary

This two-year full-time position as a Bioinformatician at the Gerhard-Domagk-Institute for Pathology involves expanding their Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) platform to include Exome (WES) and Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing analytical algorithms and pipelines, evaluating genome, transcriptome, and methylome data (including assembly, annotation, and in-silico evaluation), and developing and optimizing a database structure for integrated analytics. The role requires a strong background in bioinformatics, extensive experience with sequencing data analysis, and proficiency in programming.
