Job Summary

The Experimental Animal Center (EAC) at the University of Bern is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to safeguard the integrity and compliance of all in-vivo research activities. This vital role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality assurance programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements, and upholding the ethical cornerstones of the 3Rs (Reduce, Refine, Replace) and the 'Culture of Care'. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting regular audits, managing comprehensive documentation, providing quality training to staff, and acting as the primary liaison for regulatory authorities and external auditors. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a scientific field, proven QA expertise, and experience managing complex structures. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in a scientific or related field. A Master's degree or higher, or a degree in Quality Management, is advantageous.

Experience

  • Experience in conducting regular audits and inspections of study activities
