This role involves actively shaping sports infrastructure and development within the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district of Berlin. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and updating the integrated sports development concept, conducting needs assessments for sports facilities, and providing expert input on social infrastructure planning. Key tasks include preparing project sketches, managing timelines and budgets for construction projects, and securing funding from various sources. The position requires strong collaboration with internal departments and external sports institutions, representing the sports department in steering committees, and contributing to district-wide working groups. Required Skills
Education
Diploma in Public Administration (FH) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Public Administration, or a comparable qualification in public service (e.g., successful completion of administrative course II), or a relevant degree in Sports Science, Sports Management, Sports Economics, Urban and Regional Planning, or Architecture.
Experience
- Professional experience in sports development concepts and their implementation
- Experience in project development and steering within a specialized department
- Experience in preparing project sketches, timelines, and financial plans for construction projects
- Experience in acquiring and applying for funding from various governmental and EU programs
- Experience in working with sports institutions and coordinating with grassroots sports organizations
