Job Summary
This role at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH) offers an exciting opportunity for a Scientist specializing in data science, routine data analysis, statistics, or epidemiology. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research in neurovascular diseases, particularly stroke and vasculitides, within the Clinic for Neurology. Day-to-day responsibilities include the statistical planning and evaluation of routine data from various sources like DESTATIS, TriNetX, and clinical registries, conducting meta-analyses, and independently managing scientific projects. The position is ideal for someone passionate about medical research, offering opportunities for promotion, habilitation, and an associate professorship. It requires strong statistical skills, experience with routine data, and a collaborative spirit within an interdisciplinary team.
Required Skills
Education
Doctorate or Master's degree in Statistics, Biometry, Epidemiology, Neurosciences, or a related field
Experience
- Professional experience with routine data (TriNetX, DESTATIS, All of Us Program, health insurance data) is desirable
- Experience in conducting meta-analyses is desirable
- Experience in cerebrovascular, cardiovascular, and/or neurodegenerative medicine/research is desirable
- Strong interest in scientific work in medicine

- This is a full-time, fixed-term position for three years. Possibility for promotion, habilitation, and obtaining an associate professorship.
