Job Summary

The Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research Warnemünde (IOW) is seeking a motivated Doctoral Researcher in Physical Oceanography for a 3-year, part-time position (75% / 30 hours per week), starting as soon as possible, but no later than April 1, 2026. This role is integral to the CoastalFutures II project, focusing on climate simulations and their impact on marine and coastal areas, particularly the Baltic Sea. The successful candidate will analyze extensive climate model simulations to understand climate variability and anthropogenic changes, focusing on physical variables like water temperature, salinity, currents, and sea level.
