Job Summary
This Research Associate position focuses on climate change adaptation within the 'New European Bauhaus Reconsidered (AdNEB)' research project. The role involves conducting in-depth research on climate adaptation strategies for resilient and livable cities, with a strong emphasis on 'Sponge City' concepts and blue-green infrastructures. Key responsibilities include evaluating the effectiveness of urban blue-green infrastructure for risk reduction, developing approaches for widespread implementation of Sponge City principles, and enhancing knowledge exchange and governance in regional climate adaptation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background in natural, geo, engineering, or environmental sciences, coupled with proven research experience in climate adaptation and nature-based solutions. Excellent communication, analytical, and conceptual skills are essential, along with a high degree of cooperation and gender competence. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to socially relevant research in a flexible and supportive public sector environment.
