Job Summary

This part-time (50% weekly hours) position involves working within the "Microbiological Risks" department, focusing on the logistics, preparation, and analysis of environmental samples (air, soil, water, and wastewater). The role requires expertise in molecular biology techniques, specifically nucleic acid extraction, amplification, and identification using methods like qPCR/RT-qPCR, droplet PCR, and Multiplex-PCR. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the quality management system according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, including participating in interlaboratory comparisons and creating standard operating procedures. Furthermore, the technician will be responsible for the practical supervision and training of students, interns, and doctoral candidates in laboratory settings.
