Job Summary

This permanent, full-time role as a Technical IT Administrator involves the conceptual development and ongoing operational support of critical IT infrastructure for the Air Measurement Network and Reference Laboratory. The administrator will serve as the primary IT representative for these specialized departments, ensuring the secure deployment of IT-based procedures and applications. Key daily tasks include managing network connectivity, configuring remote access for data centers (such as UBIS Server/AIP), and providing essential user support. Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent vocational training (preferably System Integration). Essential technical requirements include excellent knowledge of IT networks, proficiency with Windows operating systems, and basic programming skills in Python or R. The position requires a high degree of analytical skill, reliability, and a significant willingness to travel, making it ideal for proactive professionals, including recent graduates, seeking a secure, flexible, and impactful role in the public service sector supporting environmental monitoring initiatives.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor, Diploma (FH)) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Communications Technology, or completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (preferably System Integration), or equivalent skills and experience.

Experience
