Job Summary

The City of Stuttgart is seeking an experienced IT Architect for SAP Software Development to join their Digitalization, Organization, and IT Department (DO.IT). This role is crucial for the SAP Competence Center Stuttgart (CCS), focusing on city-wide SAP applications for finance and human resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for SAP software development, including version and test management, and will drive the adoption of agile methodologies and innovative technologies. A key aspect of the role involves analyzing and implementing Artificial Intelligence within SAP development and strategically contributing to the migration of municipal customer developments to SAP S/4HANA. The position also entails ensuring compliance with SAP software development guidelines. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of digital services within a major German city.

Required Skills

Education

University degree, preferably in Computer Science or a comparable field. Alternatively, for civil servants: completed higher information technology service (minimum A 12) with readiness to complete the promotion course.

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience, preferably in Informatics or a comparable field
  • Long-term professional experience as a Software Developer, especially in SAP systems
  • Professional experience in the advertised field (for civil servants)
