Job Summary

This role involves conducting microbiological analyses of drinking water, swimming pool, and bathing water in a regulated environment, ensuring compliance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 quality criteria. The successful candidate will manage ordering for the microbiology department, perform verification and quality assurance procedures, and accurately input analysis data into the LIMS. Key responsibilities also include creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contributing to the laboratory's Quality Management System. This part-time, fixed-term position (approx. 2 years) is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a biological background and experience in water analytics, particularly with Legionella.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in a biological field (e.g., Biology Laboratory Technician, Biological-Technical Assistant with state recognition)

Experience

Professional experience in a biological discipline
Laboratory experience, especially in drinking water analytics
Knowledge of cultural detection methods for Legionella spec. (advantageous)
Experience or additional training in Quality Management according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 (advantageous)
Experience working with pathogens and knowledge of hygiene and infection control
