Job Summary

This part-time position (up to 14 hours per week) within the Building Administration and Environmental Office involves executing critical environmental protection tasks, focusing heavily on immission control, waste management, and nature conservation law. The Environmental Protection Engineer will independently handle technical matters related to immission control and waste law, including monitoring, investigation, and regulatory enforcement. Key responsibilities include implementing state waste laws, managing approval and order procedures under the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) and Circular Economy Act (KrWG), conducting facility monitoring, and providing expert opinions on building and development plans. This role requires a strong technical engineering background in environmental disciplines, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle complex regulatory issues while engaging with citizens and conducting noise level measurements.
