Job Summary
As a Customer Support Engineer for Airbus Secure Land Communications, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and availability of critical communication networks used by public safety, defense, and industrial sectors. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve the installation, setup, and maintenance of virtual and physical Linux servers, including incident and problem management for RedHat Enterprise Linux and CentOS systems. You will also contribute to operative release management, change, and configuration management, and ensure thorough documentation. This role requires strong technical expertise in networking, Linux environments, and virtualization, offering a chance to contribute to global security through advanced communication solutions.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Computer Science, or completed vocational training as an IT Specialist, IT Systems Electronics Technician, IT Systems Management Assistant, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Professional experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux and CentOS server environments
- Experience with HP HP-Synergy, HP Blade Center, HP Proliant, and HP 3PAR-Storage is beneficial
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B/3 driving license; Willingness for occasional business travel
