Job Summary

This crucial role supports a renowned aerospace client, focusing on the quality assurance and engineering of flight-critical components. As a Manufacturing/Materials Engineer, you will analyze, evaluate, validate, and formally approve metallic materials across all stages, from raw forged and cast parts to fully machined or assembled products. A key responsibility involves assessing material conditions following mechanical processing and specialized treatments such as welding, heat treatment, surface finishing, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). You will implement and oversee quality processes related to materials and special processes, while providing essential technical support and consulting to internal manufacturing teams, development, and purchasing departments. The ideal candidate must possess a Master's degree in Materials Engineering, profound knowledge of material processing, and fluency in both German and English. This position offers the opportunity to ensure the highest material integrity within a high-stakes aerospace production environment.

Education

Master's or Diploma Degree in Materials Engineering or with a focus on Materials Engineering

Experience

  • Profound knowledge in material processing, including the influence of mechanical processing on surface structure
  • Knowledge and experience in special processes such as welding, heat treatment, and surface treatments
  • Experience supporting internal manufacturing and suppliers regarding NDT, materials, and special processes
  • Desirable: Level III or experienced Level II Certification (EN4179/NAS410) in fluorescent penetrant testing and radiographic testing
